Superhuman AI automatically adapts to your unique voice and tone. For even better results, you can personalize how Superhuman AI writes and schedules for you.
Just share your writing style, preferences, and a few key details about yourself. Superhuman AI will use them whenever it drafts emails and creates events with Ask AI, Write with AI, and Instant Event, so everything feels natural and true to you.
Desktop
- You must first be on the Business or Enterprise plan and have Ask AI enabled. Hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Activate Superhuman AI.
- Click Settings ⚙️ → Personalization or Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Personalization.
- Greeting & Signoff — Set how your emails start and end. When AI is enabled, Superhuman AI does its best to fill this in automatically.
- Job Title & Company — Add details about your current role and company to keep emails accurate and consistent. When AI is enabled, Superhuman AI does its best to fill this in automatically.
- Writing — Tell Superhuman AI how you want your emails to sound. Choose your tone, preferred length, and any other formatting preferences.
- Scheduling — Share how you like to send availability. Superhuman AI will match your style when suggesting times or sending scheduling messages.
- Events — Set your default preferences for events created with Superhuman AI, like default duration or event title, so every AI-drafted invite is ready to send.
- About me — Share details like your location or names of key coworkers so Superhuman AI can generate more accurate drafts tailored to your day-to-day work.
- Knowledge Base — Connect your personal and company information so Superhuman AI can deliver sharper answers and more intelligent drafts, right from your inbox.
💡 Tip: Be specific about what you want instead of just what to avoid. For example, instead of “Don’t use em dashes,” try “Don’t use em dashes. Use commas, parentheses, or short sentences instead.”
After you’ve personalized your settings, they’ll automatically apply anytime you use Write with AI, Ask AI, or Instant Event to draft an email or create an event.
Mobile
Once you personalize your settings on Desktop, they’ll automatically sync to Mobile as well.
At the moment, you can’t view or update those preferences directly from Mobile.

What happened to my Write with AI settings?
We’ve moved your Write with AI settings into the new Personalization settings, so everything is already filled in for you.
How does this work with my existing email style?
If you’re drafting an email to someone you’ve contacted before, Superhuman AI will use those past conversations for context, along with your Personalization settings.
If it’s someone new, Superhuman AI will rely entirely on your Personalization settings to shape the draft.
Can I add my booking link to Personalization?
Yes, you can add your Mail booking link in the Scheduling tab within Personalization. Just type or paste it in, and Superhuman AI will reference it when drafting scheduling replies.
Can I share my Personalization settings across multiple Mail accounts?
At the moment, Personalization settings are tied to each individual Mail account rather than shared across multiple accounts. We recommend copying and pasting these instructions for now if you’d like to use them across multiple accounts.
Can I @mention people in the About me or style guide sections?
You can @mention contacts in the About me tab of your Personalization settings, but not in the other sections just yet. For those sections, you can type names or other details directly as plain text.
