Switching from Notion Mail to Superhuman Mail

Notion Mail is shutting down in September 2026. Superhuman Mail makes it easy to bring over the workflows you rely on, with support for saved snippets, automatic sorting, and reminders, so you can pick up where you left off and move faster from day one.

Snippets

Snippets are your saved replies, ready to drop into any message with just a single keystroke. Recreate the templates you leaned on in Notion Mail, add attachments, and never type the same email twice.
  1. Hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Create Snippet to copy/paste your Notion Mail Snippets. Or, hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Create Snippet from Draft or Create Snippet from Message to turn a message you’ve already written into a Snippet.
  2. Include variables for names and placeholders for dates, company names, or anything else that changes between messages. You can find these by looking at the right sidebar.
  3. To include an attachment, click the paperclip icon in the bottom-right corner of the Snippet and upload your file.
  4. To use a Snippet on Desktop, hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Use Snippet or ; to use a Snippet inline. On Mobile, tap { } when composing a message.
💡 Tip: Learn more about Snippets, and share your best ones with your team so everyone moves faster.

Auto Labels

Auto Labels organize your inbox for you, routing incoming emails into the right spots so the noise stays out of the way and your most important messages rise to the top. Export your Auto Label instructions from Notion Mail and paste them straight in as a plain-language AI prompt, or use built-in Auto Labels for instant coverage.

  1. Click ⚙️ Settings → Auto Labels.
  2. Click New Auto Label → Build Your Own.
  3. Add a name and define the rules —  by sender, domain, subject, or an AI prompt that describes what to catch like “invoices from vendors” or “flight and hotel confirmations.”
  4. Click Create Auto Label.

From now on, matching emails from the past 14 days — and all future emails — will automatically receive that Auto Label.

Split Inbox

A Split Inbox organizes your inbox into focused sections, so you can tackle your most important emails first and stop context-switching between everything at once. Newsletters, updates, and VIP threads each land in their own view instead of one crowded list — an easy way to organize your inbox much like you did with views in Notion Mail.
  1. Click ⚙️ Settings → Split Inbox Library.
  2. Select a default Split Inbox, or click Build Your Own to create your own Split Inbox from scratch.
  3. Give it a name and define the rules using Search criteria like From:, To:, Subject:, Bcc:, and Cc:. Combine multiple criteria with the keywords OR and AND.

  1. Use Auto Labels in addition to or instead of traditional Definitions.
  2. Click Create to add your new Split Inbox to the top of your inbox.

Schedule Emails

Write now, send later. Schedule any message to go out at the right moment — first thing tomorrow, after a holiday, or when your recipient is most likely to be at their desk.

  1. Write your message as usual.
  2. Instead of sending, hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Send Later on Desktop, or tap Send later on Mobile.
  3. Pick a suggested time, or type your own on Desktop — like “Monday 9:45am.”
  4. On Business and Enterprise plans, watch for the Smart Send button on Desktop, which recommends the time your recipient is most likely to open your email.

💡 Tip: Learn more about Smart Send.

Reminders

Reminders bring an email back to the top of your inbox exactly when you need it, so nothing slips through — whether you’re waiting on a reply or saving something for the right moment.

  1. Open any email on Desktop and hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Remind Me or H. On Mobile, tap the 🕓 icon in the triage bar at the bottom of the screen.
  2. On Desktop, type the day and time you want the email to resurface — like “Thursday 8:15am.” On Mobile, tap a default day and time, or tap pick date & time.

The message will return to the top of your inbox with a purple dot on the day you scheduled it to return.

💡 Tip: Don't want to set reminders manually? Learn how to use Auto Reminders so Superhuman AI automatically reminds you to follow up if you don't hear back.
