Manage your Superhuman Docs account settings

Access your Superhuman Docs account settings, make updates to your preferences, and more.

Your Superhuman Docs account (formerly, "Coda" account) is the individual account that you use to sign in and access Superhuman Docs. Each Docs account is associated with a single user and a single email address. And you can use one account to access multiple workspaces.

Your Superhuman Docs account settings house all of your account-specific information. This includes your email address, your notification preferences, your API settings, and more. Continue reading to learn all about account settings, including what info you can find and what actions you can take.

Access your account settings

You can access your Superhuman Docs account settings in one of two ways:

  1. While logged into Docs, click on your avatar and name in the lower-left corner of any page or doc, then select Account settings from the menu.

Tip: If you're in a doc and the page list is hidden, you just need to hover over the left edge of the doc to reveal the page list and your avatar.

That’s it - you are now in your Docs account settings. Take a look around!

Contents of account settings

Your account settings contain lots of information and options, split into sections. We’ll cover those sections - including some of the modifications you can make in each - below.

ℹ️ Note that if you are a user on an Enterprise plan, some account settings may be managed by your organization admin.

Profile picture, name, and email

At the top of your account settings, you’ll see your profile image, name, and email address.

  • Profile image: To learn about your profile picture - including how to update it - check out this article.

  • Account name: As of July 2026, the ability to change your account team has been temporarily paused as we work on creating a unified identity system for the Superhuman platform. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we will update this article with instructions as soon as this option is restored.

  • Email address: There isn’t any way to directly change the email address associated with your Superhuman Docs account, but in some cases if you use a third-party identity provider (e.g. Google) Docs will sync email changes as long as the same third-party account is used to log in. As an alternative workaround, you can create a new Docs account with your new email, and invite this new account to your current workspace(s). Then you can transfer ownership of your docs from your old account to your new one.
