Reply to Email on Mobile

Respond to email from your iOS or Android device — directly from a push notification, or from inside a thread.

Quick Reply

Quick Reply lets you respond to email straight from a Mobile notification, so you can move on without opening your Superhuman inbox. It's built for the low-stakes moments where speed matters most — "Sounds good," "On it," "Thanks."

iOS

  1. Long-press the Superhuman Mail notification.

FAQs

Who does my Quick Reply send to?

Quick Reply sends to everyone on the thread — the same as Reply All. On iOS, you’ll also see a Quick Reply All option in the long-press menu.

Can I undo a Quick Reply?

Yes. You can undo a Quick Reply within a short window after sending:

  • iOS: Open Mail within 30 seconds and tap Undo on the send toast.
  • Android: Tap Undo directly from the notification within 20 seconds.

Is my signature included in a Quick Reply?

Yes. Quick Reply uses the signature you’ve set in Mail.

What if I want to see the full thread or write a longer reply?

Quick Reply is built for short responses. Tap the notification to open the email in the Mail app and reply with the full composer. On iOS, use a regular tap — a long-press triggers Quick Reply instead.

Why doesn’t Quick Reply appear on my iPhone?

Make sure push notifications are turned on for Mail.

  • iOS: Go to Settings → Notifications → Superhuman Mail and switch on Allow Notifications. Then long-press any new notification to see Quick Reply — a regular tap opens the app instead.
  • Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Superhuman Mail → Notifications and switch on notifications. The Quick Reply button appears automatically on the notification.

Muted threads won’t show Quick Reply, since they don’t trigger a notification in the first place.
