Learn how to connect your doc to Zoom, using the Zoom Pack.
In addition to the docs you work with every day, you also need to meet online with your co-workers and customers. The Zoom Pack allows you to bring Superhuman Docs and Zoom together to streamline your workflow. If you’re new to Packs, you can learn more about them here.
There are a few great ways to connect Docs and Zoom. If you'd like to use Zoom information in your docs, continue reading. But if you want to pull Zoom admin information - such as user data or recordings - check out this article on the ZoomAdmin Pack instead. Install and connect to the Pack
To start using the Zoom Pack, you first need to install it in your doc. You can do so by following these steps:
- On any blank line in your doc’s canvas, type a forward slash, followed by “Zoom” (e.g. /Zoom)
- From the drop-down menu, select Zoom (under the More Packs header)
- Make sure you don't select ZoomAdmin - that is a different Pack
- Then click the Add to doc button in the upper right.
- From the right-hand panel, select the building block you want to add to your doc (such as a My meetings or My recordings sync table). Click and drag the selected item onto the canvas of your doc.
- You will then be prompted to connect to your Zoom account in order to access that data. Follow the prompts to connect your account. If this is your first time connecting to the Zoom Pack, you'll be prompted to sign in to your Zoom account.
Example use cases
The Zoom Pack supports synchronizing information in your doc about recordings, meetings, and transcripts, as well as scheduling meetings via buttons or automation. For a full list of the tables, buttons, columns, and formulas offered by this Pack, refer to this listing page.
Create a new meeting via button
To add a Zoom meeting via a button, take the following steps:
On a new line on the page, type /button and click New button.
Under Action select Zoom → CreateMeeting.
Pick the account to use for this action. If you've allowed shared accounts to take actions, you'll see shared accounts here. If you've opted to require each doc user to add their own account, you can use "User's Private Account." To add a new account, select "Set up another account."
Set the meeting topic and optional fields for start, end, agenda, and password.
Synchronize Meetings or Recordings
You can also create a new table that synchronizes all scheduled meetings:
On a new line on the page, type /zoom and click Zoom under the heading Pack Tables.
Select the type of data you’d like to sync - either MyMeetings or MyRecordings.
Click on Choose what to sync and customize your sync settings. You can choose the date range, and sync policies (frequency and size limit).
Finally click on Sync now to kick things off.
Advanced Scenarios
Advanced scenarios are also possible via the formulas for Webinars and Meetings. You can retrieve information about Meetings or Webinars given their link or id. Uninstall the Zoom Pack
There are three ways to uninstall the Zoom pack from Superhuman Docs:
Via the Zoom Marketplace
This will remove your Zoom credentials from all docs and prevent further use.
Log in to the marketplace at https://marketplace.zoom.us/user/installed.
Click the Superhuman Docs App.
Click the Uninstall button.
This will remove the app from the Zoom Marketplace and remove the Zoom pack from all documents.
Via your Docs account settings
This removes the specific Zoom credential from all docs.
Login to docs.superhuman.com/account.
Scroll down to the Accounts connected to Packs section
Select Zoom and expand the account you would like to remove.
Click on Remove this account.
This will remove the Zoom Pack from all Superhuman docs.
Via the in-doc Packs menu
The Zoom Pack can also be removed from a specific doc by navigating to the Zoom Pack settings.
Click the Insert & explore button in the upper-right corner of the doc, then select the Packs tab
Enter Zoom in the search box and choose Zoom
Click on the vertical three-dot menu
Select Remove Pack from doc to remove it from this doc.
