As of July 2026, there have been some changes to our AI statistics and management tools. This article will explain those changes and what to expect next.
View AI usage within a doc
With the launch of Docs AI, the in-doc AI credit monitoring tools have been temporarily paused. Since the previous credit system is no longer active, the AI usage statistics in Doc settings → Statistics → AI usage will appear inactive.
The upside: the Docs AI beta comes with significantly more generous limits than the old credit system, designed to prevent abuse and protect performance, not to restrict normal use.
We plan to reintroduce an updated version of this tooling as we learn more about usage of Docs AI.
View workspace AI usage
While workspace admins could previously view AI usage across the entire workspace, we have paused these abilities for the introduction of Docs AI. While Docs AI is in beta, our previous AI credit system has been suspended. We're exploring how Docs AI will be tracked and managed by workspace admins in the future, and usage and feedback will help inform that.

While our new Docs AI is in beta, we have paused the previous AI management tools. You and your workspace members have free access to Docs AI during this time, with generous limits depending on your role and plan. We plan to use the feedback and learnings from the Docs AI beta to inform the right credit systems and management tools going forward.
Can I turn off Docs AI for my workspace?
Enterprise admins have controls to manage Docs AI access for their organization, which you can read about here. If you're not on Enterprise and want to discuss disabling Docs AI, please contact our support team.
