Your Greatest Hits, On Demand

No matter how fast we are, we all hit the same limit —  the sheer time it takes to type. With Snippets, you can insert phrases, paragraphs, or whole emails to push past this limit.

Creating Snippets

There are a few ways to make Snippets:

  • Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Create Snippet to make a Snippet.
  • Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Create snippet from draft to make a Snippet from a message you're drafting.
  • Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Create snippet from message to make a Snippet from a message you're reading.

💡 Tip: Create Snippets for any messages you send frequently (e.g., follow-ups, outreach, hiring templates, greetings, replies to introductions, booking links).

Adding Variables and Placeholders in Snippets

Use variables in Snippets to automatically fill in details (like a person's first name) when you insert them into a draft. You can see all available variables in the right sidebar while creating a Snippet.

You can also add placeholders by putting any phrase in curly brackets.

For example, in the screenshot above, {your_company} and {decline_reason} are used as placeholders. If those phrases aren’t replaced when you send the email, Mail will display a warning like so:
