Speed Up With Shortcuts

The first thing you’ll notice is that, unlike other email apps, Superhuman Mail's interface is clutter-free to help you focus on your most important tasks. To keep the interface clean and help you go faster, we designed Mail with fast and powerful keyboard shortcuts on Desktop, and lightning-fast taps and swipes on Mobile.

Desktop

The most important shortcut is Superhuman Command: Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows). This makes Mail fast and easy to learn. Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K and type what you want to do!

As you type, keep an eye on the letter that pops up on the right side of the menu — it’s showing you the exact shortcut for that action. Learn it once, and you can hit that shortcut right from your inbox next time!

Try It Now

  1. Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K.
  2. Type any action you’d like to take (example: draft, search, reply), and take note of the corresponding shortcut.
  3. Hit Esc to go back to the inbox.
  4. Hit the shortcut straight from the inbox.
  5. Find the shortcut to search.
  6. Hit the search shortcut straight from the inbox.

Now that you’re familiar with Superhuman Command and have practiced a few shortcuts, let’s learn how to navigate the interface using quick keyboard shortcuts.

💡 Tip: No need to memorize every shortcut when getting started — just hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K to learn the different actions as you go.

Mobile

Instead of keyboard shortcuts, we have quick taps and swipes so you can work on the go 🚗

To access Superhuman Command on Mobile (Cmd+K or Ctrl+K on Desktop), do a two-finger tap or from the top of your inbox, pull down then swipe right (like you're making an L) for Superhuman Command. Then, start typing the action you'd like to take.
