Troubleshooting Signatures

Overview

If your signature doesn't look quite right in Superhuman Mail — maybe an image is missing or you see extra spacing — try these quick fixes.

Image Missing from Signature

Gmail

  1. Click here to open your Gmail settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Signature section.
  3. Delete the current image in your signature.
  4. Make sure the image you want to use is saved on your device.
  5. Click the Insert Image button:

  6. Upload and add the image you'd like in your signature.
  7. Scroll down and click Save Changes.
  8. Wait a moment, then hit Cmd+R (Mac) or Ctrl+R (Windows) to refresh Superhuman Mail.

Outlook

If you've pasted your existing Outlook signature into Superhuman Mail after hitting Cmd+K or Ctrl+KSignatures, and the images and hyperlinks aren't working, try copying your signature from the Outlook web app.

We've seen some formatting issues when copying from the Outlook desktop app, so the web app often works better.

Formatting or Spacing Looks Off

If the spacing or formatting of your signature doesn't look right, it's possible there is some underlying formatting Superhuman Mail is picking up — this can often happen if the signature was originally copy and pasted from somewhere like a third-party app or internal document.

Try deleting your signature entirely and recreating it from scratch directly in Gmail's or Superhuman Mail's signature editor.

For both Gmail and Outlook, you can also build your signature from scratch in a Google Doc with your desired formatting, then copy and paste it into Gmail or Superhuman Mail.

Not Supported: Third-Party Signature Tools

Superhuman Mail does not support signatures created in third-party tools such as WiseStamp or MySignature. If you’re using one of these, we recommend recreating your signature directly in the Gmail or Outlook web apps before adding it to Superhuman Mail.
