The Salesforce integration for Superhuman Mail allows you to:
- See and update contact, lead, account, and opportunity details right from your inbox ✍️
- Customize which sections and fields you see 🛠️
- Add new Salesforce contacts from Superhuman Mail 👥
View Salesforce data
You can view Salesforce data associated with the contacts that you are emailing. Simply hover over a recipient in an email and the data will display in the right sidebar.
To get started:
- You must first be on the Business or Enterprise plan.
- Click Settings → Salesforce.
- Log into Salesforce.
After you've signed in, you’ll see Salesforce information in the sidebar for any contact that has a record in Salesforce!
Customize your View
To customize the sections in your Salesforce sidebar, click Settings → Salesforce.
To disable a section, uncheck the box on the right side. To add, remove, or reorder fields, click ⚙️.
To update Salesforce fields, hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Edit then hit Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to save.
You can also make edits by hovering over the field you want to edit in the Salesforce sidebar or by clicking the pencil icon.
Adding Contacts to Salesforce
You can add contacts to Salesforce without leaving your inbox!
When you hover over an email that does not yet exist in Salesforce, an Add to Salesforce button will appear in the Salesforce sidebar.
Click Add to Salesforce to view the New Salesforce Contact form.
Once the form has been completed, hit Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to save the contact in Salesforce.
Auto-Bcc
Superhuman Mail allows you to add your Salesforce-generated Bcc address to every message that you send. To get started, first find your Salesforce Bcc address:
- Open Salesforce.
- Find your profile icon in the top right corner, and hit Settings from the dropdown.
- Under the Email section in the left hand side, hit My Email to Salesforce.
- Select which records you wish to associate emails to and hit Save.
- Copy the highlighted email address that appears as Your Email to Salesforce address.
Then, in Mail you'll want to:
- Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Auto-Bcc Settings.
- Paste the Bcc address into the window that appears.
- Hit Enter to save the change.
FAQs
Common causes of errors
- You will see an error message if your Salesforce edition does not have API access enabled. Check here for the editions that have API access.
- If you have the right Salesforce edition, you may need to check with your Salesforce admin that your account is “API-enabled” to enable the Salesforce integration with Superhuman Mail.
How do I track emails from Superhuman Mail in Salesforce?
Mail's Salesforce integration doesn’t track emails or log incoming emails into Salesforce as of yet.
If you would like to log your outgoing email, however, you can Auto-Bcc Salesforce on each of your sent emails using the steps in the Auto-Bcc section above.
How do I remove the Auto-Bcc address from all messages moving forward?
- Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Auto-Bcc Settings.
- Delete the Bcc address from the field.
- Hit Enter to save your changes.
How do I remove the Auto-Bcc address from a single message?
- While drafting your message, hit Cmd+Shift+B or Ctrl+Shift+B to expand and bring Mail's focus to the "Bcc" field.
- Delete the Auto-Bcc address from the "Bcc" field.
Does this work in the Mobile apps?
The Salesforce integration is only available on Desktop at the moment.
