Adding an Alias
Desktop
Gmail accounts
You can set up new aliases in Gmail settings.
- Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → open Alias Settings.
- Then under "Send mail as", click "Add another email address."
- Once you've added the email address, return to Superhuman and hit Cmd+R or Ctrl+R to refresh.
Outlook accounts
You can set up new aliases in Outlook settings.
- In Outlook, click “Add an alias.”
- Create a new Outlook email address or add an existing email address as an alias.
- Once you’ve made your selection, click “Add alias.”
- Return to Superhuman and hit Cmd+R or Ctrl+R to refresh.
Mobile
Alias settings are only accessible via desktop at the moment.
Sending from an Alias
Desktop
Hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Change Alias or Cmd+Shift+F or Ctrl+Shift+F while composing an email.
Then, select an address from the list that appears.

When replying to an existing conversation, expand your draft to full screen by tapping here:
Tap on this arrow:
Then, tap the From: address and select an address from the list that appears.
Setting a Default Alias
Desktop
Gmail Accounts
If you'd like to always use a certain alias to send emails, you can set that up in Gmail.
- Hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Alias Settings.
- Click "make default" next to your alias.
- Select "Always reply from default address.”
- Once you've made those changes, return to Superhuman and hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Sign Out to log out and back into Superhuman, syncing your changes.
Outlook Accounts
If you’d like to always use a certain alias to send emails, you can set that up in Outlook.
- In Outlook, select “Manage how you sign into Microsoft.”
- Under “Account aliases”, select ”Make primary” next to the email address that you want to use as your primary alias.
- Once you've made those changes, return to Superhuman and hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Sign Out to log out and back into Superhuman, syncing your changes.
Mobile
Setting a default alias is only available on desktop at the moment.
