Split Inbox Basics

A Split is a division of your inbox, capturing specific conversations. These smaller, intentional sections allow you to quickly prioritize different emails with greater focus.

Split names appear at the top of your inbox alongside the total number of emails (read and unread) in that Split. To navigate between them on desktop, hit Tab to move right and Shift+Tab to move left. On mobile, just tap the Split name.

Common Splits

💡 Tips

  • Splits are meant to promote focus, so reserve them for intentional workflows and priorities. Two to five Splits can be helpful in creating structure and prioritization. More than five Splits may detract from your productivity as you cycle through them looking for messages.
  • Name your splits with an emoji to save space and add some color! Just hit : then type the name of the emoji 😄
