Superhuman Mail MCP Use Cases

Want to get started with the Superhuman Mail MCP, but not sure where to start?

Here are some ready-to-use prompts and workflows you can paste directly into the AI tools you’re using (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) after the Superhuman Mail MCP is set up.

To get set up, follow these instructions.

1. Morning inbox briefing

Have your AI agent scan your inbox, sort by priority, and give you a crisp summary of what needs attention. You can automate this for the start of your day, the end of your day, or whenever you’re catching up after meetings or time off.

Prompt:

Scan my inbox from the last 24 hours. Group emails into:

  • Urgent: needs a reply today
  • Important: needs attention this week
  • FYI: informational, no action needed
  • Noise: newsletters, automated notifications

For each urgent and important email, give me the sender, subject, and a one-line summary of what they need. Summarize any key insights from FYI and Noise.

Draft replies for anything urgent. After I approve, mark done anything classified as Noise.

💡 Tips:
  • Specify a timeframe for the best results — use “last 24 hours” for a daily check-in, or “since Monday” when catching up after time off.
  • Drafts created via Superhuman Mail MCP can be found directly in the Superhuman Mail app. All you have to do is edit, then send. Or, you can review and send the drafts directly from your AI tool of choice.

2. Customer digests

Get a roll-up of your email history with a contact or across your accounts — whether you need a quick refresher before a call or a full briefing that pulls in meeting notes and CRM data.

Prompt (Quick Refresher):

Pull all email threads with [name/company] from the last 30 days. Summarize what we've been discussing, any open questions or commitments, and flag anything I haven't replied to.

Prompt (Meeting Prep):

I have a meeting with [name/company] tomorrow. Pull all email threads from the last 30 days and any recent meeting notes. Summarize what we've discussed, any open commitments from either side, and the overall tone of the relationship.

Flag anything unresolved and suggest talking points for tomorrow.

Prompt (Portfolio Review):

Look at my inbox from the last 2 weeks. Group conversations by company or contact and for each one give me: a one-line status summary, any outstanding action items on my end, and anything time-sensitive. Sort by most recent activity.

💡 Tips:
  • Connect your meeting notes tool (like Granola) and CRM alongside Superhuman Mail MCP to go beyond email — get meeting context, account data, and conversation history in one briefing.
  • You can set an automation every week or morning to run this workflow based on your calendar (also connected via the Superhuman Mail MCP!), so you don’t have to remember to do it every time.

3. Contextual drafts & replies

Have your AI agent draft context-aware replies by reading the full thread, pulling in meeting notes, and matching your exact voice and tone. Drafts are saved directly into Superhuman Mail (no more copy/paste!), or your AI agent can even send it after you review the details.

Prompt (Thread Reply):

Read my latest email from [person]. Based on the full thread, draft a reply that:- Answers their questions- Confirms the next steps we discussed- Keeps the tone professional but warm.

Prompt (Post-Meeting Follow-Up):

I just had a meeting with [name/company]. Pull the meeting notes and any recent email threads with them. Draft a follow-up email that summarizes what we discussed, confirms next steps, and includes any action items.

💡 Tips:
  • Superhuman Mail MCP automatically writes in your voice and adjusts tone by recipient. Want to change how your AI writes or schedules? Just prompt your AI agent to update your preferences.

4. Personalized outreach and follow-ups at scale

Send personalized outreach at scale, track who’s read your emails, and automatically follow up with anyone who hasn’t responded.

Prompt (Personalized Outreach):

I need to send a personalized email to each of these contacts: [list or describe contacts]. For each one, pull any prior email history for context. Draft a personalized email that references our relationship and [specific ask].

Prompt (Conference Leads):

Here are 25 people I met at a [event]. For each one, check if they're already in HubSpot — if yes, pull their deal history and any prior emails. If no, create a new contact. Draft a personalized follow-up for each that references the [event].

Prompt (Read Status & Follow-Up):

I sent out our new pricing last week. Can you check who opened it, and help me follow up?

💡 Tips:
  • You can also send emails directly through the MCP. By default, your AI agent will ask for confirmation before anything goes out — though you can adjust this in your tool permissions. If you'd rather keep things draft-only, you can restrict the send tool to read-only.

5. Streamline common workflows

Multi-step, tedious tasks that used to take 20 minutes of tab-switching can now be automated with the right prompts and integrations.

Prompt (Invoice tracking):

Every Monday, scan my inbox for unpaid invoices. Surface a table with each invoice's customer name, amount, days past due, and status. Draft a follow-up email to each customer with an outstanding balance. Post a summary to my #accounts-receivable channel in Slack.

Prompt (Invoice processing):

Show me a list of invoices, receipts, or payment requests from the past week.If I approve the list, forward the emails to finance@acme.co for processing.

Prompt (Customer renewal watch):

Pull all accounts with renewals in the next 60 days from Salesforce. For each one, search my inbox for the last 30 days of email activity. Flag any accounts where the tone has been negative, where I have unanswered emails, or where there's been no contact at all. Draft re-engagement emails for the silent accounts.

Prompt (Job interview evaluation):

Pull my interview notes from Granola for [candidate name]. Objectively evaluate the conversation against the scorecard criteria in my Coda hiring rubric — communication, technical depth, problem-solving, and culture fit. Score each dimension and write a narrative summary with key moments and evidence as a starting point.

Prompt (Client deliverables hub):

Check my Coda project tracker for all active client deliverables due this week. For each one, search my inbox for the latest email thread with that client.

If we've sent the deliverable and they haven't responded in 3+ days, draft a check-in email. If the deliverable isn't sent yet, post a reminder to the project owner in Slack with the due date and client context.

Update the status column in Coda with the latest email activity.

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific with time ranges — “last 24 hours” or “since Monday” works better than “recent.”
  • Name people and companies when searching for specific threads.
  • Connect other tools — link tools like your knowledge base, meeting notes, CRM, and Slack alongside Superhuman Mail MCP for richer context.
  • Debug and iterate with your AI agent — if you have a use case that works really well for you, or run into an issue with our MCP, ask your agent to send an email to hello@superhuman.com 😄
