Get Started with Superhuman Go for Android

Superhuman Go brings AI agents to your Android phone. It works both as a standalone app, where you can chat with agents and manage your setup, and as a floating helper — the Superhuman Go tab — that appears at the edge of your screen and offers suggestions inside other apps as you type.

This guide walks you through installing the app, signing in, granting the necessary permissions, and using the home app and the Superhuman Go tab.

1. Install from the Google Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Search for Superhuman Go.
  3. Tap Install.
  4. Once the download finishes, tap Open (or open the Go app from your home screen).

Note: Superhuman Go supports devices running Android 12 (API level 31) or later.

2. Sign in

When you first open the app, you’ll be asked to sign in. There are two options:

  • Continue with Google
  • Sign up another way

Choose your preferred method and follow the prompts. Signing in opens a sign-in page that confirms which account you’re signing in with. Tap Continue to Superhuman to complete sign-in, or choose Use another account if you want to sign in with a different account.

3. Grant access (permissions & onboarding)

After signing in, Superhuman Go walks you through granting the permissions it needs to work across your apps. This is what allows the Superhuman Go tab to appear over other apps and read the text you’re working on so agents can help.

You’ll be asked to grant the following:

  • Notifications — so Superhuman Go can notify you when tasks are completed.
  • Display over other apps — required to show the assistant on top of other apps.
  • Accessibility service — required so Superhuman Go can read and interact with what’s on your screen. Android will show a dialog asking to “Allow Superhuman Go — Assistant to have full control of your device.” Tap Allow to continue.
  • Run in the background — preserves battery and helps Superhuman Go agents work more efficiently.

When all permissions are granted, you’ll see a confirmation that “Go is now available on the edge of your screen.”

4. Using the Superhuman Go app

The Superhuman Go app itself has three main areas: the chat window, the side panel, and your settings.

The chat window

This is where you open the app. Type into the “Ask anything” box at the bottom to start a conversation with your agents.

Dictation (Android): On Android, there’s a dictation button on the main input screen, so you can speak instead of typing.

The side panel

Tap the menu icon in the upper-left corner to open the side panel. Here you’ll find:

  • Agents — the list of agents available to you (for example, Grammarly, AI Detector, Humanizer, Reader Reactions, QBot). Tap See more to view all of them.
  • Recent — your recent conversations.
  • New chat — start a fresh conversation.
  • Settings (shown as the first letter of your name) — app settings and your account details.

Settings

From Settings, you can access:

  • Your profile — manage your subscription, update your profile, log out, or delete your account.
  • Available agents — view and reorder your agents (see the Agents section below).
  • Connectors — link third-party accounts (see the Connectors section below).
  • Show Go in other apps — turn the Superhuman Go tab on or off and manage where it appears.
  • Language — set your app language.
  • Notifications — manage notification permissions.

5. The Superhuman Go tab (Go in other apps)

The Superhuman Go tab is a small floating overlay that appears at the edge of your screen while you use other apps. It’s how Go helps you in context — for example, catching a spelling mistake as you type.

How it works

  • The Superhuman Go tab activates automatically when an agent detects something relevant to what you’re doing (such as text you’re writing).
  • Tap the Superhuman Go tab to see suggestions from your agents or to open a quick chat. When a suggestion is available, you’ll see a small badge (for example, a number showing how many suggestions are ready).
  • Quick chats opened from the Superhuman Go tab are saved to your history and sync across your devices (mobile and desktop).

Turning the Superhuman Go tab off in specific apps

You can control where the Superhuman Go tab appears from SettingsShow Go in other apps:

  • Show Go in other apps — the master toggle for the floating Superhuman Go tab.
  • Turn off Go for specific apps — opens the Blocked apps list. In blocked apps, Go won’t see or check anything you write.

To block an app:

  1. Go to SettingsShow Go in other apps Turn off Go for specific apps.
  2. Tap Block an app.

  3. Search for or select the app from the list. Go will stay off in that app until you unblock it.

You can also dismiss the app for the current session directly from the Superhuman Go tab. It will reappear the next time you open the app. To dismiss it, tap and drag the Superhuman Go tab to the X mark icon.

6. Agents

Agents are the assistants that power Go’s suggestions. You can view and manage them from SettingsAvailable agents.

  • Grammarly is the default agent and can’t be removed.
  • You can add or create new agents. Creating an agent opens the web, and once created, it automatically loads in the mobile app.
  • The Agent Store (where you browse and add agents) also opens on the web.
  • You can reorder your agents by dragging them. The order sets the priority of which agent’s highlights and suggestions appear first when more than one is relevant. Grammarly is prioritized by default.
To access agent settings or remove an agent, tap Edit in the upper-right corner, then tap the menu icon () next to an agent to access Settings and the Remove Agent option.

7. Connectors

Connectors link your third-party accounts (like Gmail) so agents can access relevant data, such as pulling your calendar schedule into a conversation.

  • Open SettingsConnectors to set them up.
  • Connecting an account opens the web to authenticate. Once connected, agents can use that account’s data.

Note: Agents are available on all plans, but connectors are a paid feature.
