Superhuman Mail MCP Prompts

Your inbox is connected — now put it to work. It's full of tasks only you can approve, but none you need to do by hand. With the right prompt, your AI assistant can draft, schedule, and follow up, while you stay the one who decides.

When you want to be sure your assistant reaches for your inbox, start your prompt with: “Use Superhuman Mail to…” The MCP pulls from your actual inbox, so what comes back is a real email, a real Read Status, a real draft.

You won't always need to lead with that phrase, but it's the surest way to aim your assistant at the right place.

The clearer the ask, the more useful the reply. The best prompts come down to three things:

  • Be specific about the task.
  • Give your AI assistant the details to work with like a timeframe, a topic, a sender.
  • Be clear about the result you want, like a draft, a summary, or a cleaned-up inbox.

⚡ Prompt It Now

  1. Open your AI tool.
  2. Copy and paste:

Use Superhuman Mail to find emails I sent in the last week that haven’t gotten a reply. Check which ones have been opened. Draft a short follow-up for each.

  1. This prompt catches everything that slipped through the cracks and drafts a follow-up in your voice for each.

Why this prompt works:

The task is specific (find emails that haven't gotten a reply), the details narrow it down (a timeframe of last week, plus who's opened them), and it's clear about the result you want (a short follow-up for each).

💡 Tip: Drafts made through the MCP are never sent without your approval.

⚡ Prompt It Again

  1. Open a new chat in your AI tool.
  2. Copy and paste:

Use Superhuman Mail to find the promotional emails in my inbox from the past week and archive them.

  1. In one pass, your inbox goes from cluttered to just the messages that actually need your attention.
Why this prompt works:

The task is specific (surface promotional emails, not your whole inbox), the details keep it tight (a timeframe of the past week, plus a type — promotional), and it ends with a clear call to action (archive them).

💡 Tip: Archiving isn't deleting. Your emails move out of your inbox and into the Done folder in Superhuman Mail, All Mail in Gmail, or Archive in Outlook and stay searchable whenever you want them back.
