When you sign up for Superhuman with your work email address, you can discover and join your organization’s existing account—no invitation needed. This makes it easier for teams to grow their account organically: colleagues find and join on their own instead of waiting on an invite, so more of your organization gets onto Superhuman with less admin overhead. Admins stay in control by choosing whether their account can be discovered this way and which email domains are eligible.
Joining your organization’s account at sign-up
When you sign up at id.superhuman.com/signup, Superhuman checks your email domain against existing organizational accounts. If it finds a match, those accounts appear on the workspace selection page, each with one of two options next to it:
- Join — appears when your email domain matches an account that has discovery switched on. Click it to join right away as a free member. An admin of that account can move you to a paid seat later.
- Accept invitation — appears when an admin has already invited you to an account. Click it to join that account.
Managing who can discover and join your account
As an admin, you decide whether your account appears to new users at sign-up and which email domains are eligible. You’ll find these settings on the Invite Settings page of your Superhuman admin account.
Choose who can join
On the Invite Settings page, select one of these options:
- Anyone from approved domains can discover and join your account. New users who sign up with an email address from an approved domain will see your account on the workspace selection page and can join it directly.
- Only invited colleagues can join your account. Only people an admin invites can join. Your account won’t appear at sign-up for new users who register under the same domain.
Add approved domains
In the Domains section of the Invite Settings page, add the domains that belong to your organization. Once you add a domain, anyone who signs up with an email address on that domain can discover and join your account—as long as discovery is switched on.
Switch a member to a paid seat
Anyone who joins through domain discovery starts as a free member. To give someone full access, assign them a paid seat from your Superhuman admin account.
To assign paid seats to current members of your Superhuman account, follow these steps:
- Go to the Members page.
- Click the three dots icon (⋯) next to a team member and select Edit User.
- In the next window, choose Paid User and click Save.
