This issue may occur if there is not enough storage space on your device. Please check your available storage space and follow these instructions to free it up if needed:

Check if the issue reproduces in incognito mode
- Open Chrome.
- Paste the following link into the address bar and open it: chrome://extensions

Turn on the Allow in Incognito option:
- Open an incognito window by pressing Command + Shift + N on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + N on Windows, Chromebook, or Linux.
- Sign in to your account at www.grammarly.com/signin.
- Go to app.grammarly.com and check whether the issue persists in incognito mode.
If the issue doesn’t reproduce in incognito mode, it indicates that other browser extensions may be causing it. Try turning off other extensions to see if the issue still occurs.
Turn off other browser extensions
- Open a new tab in Chrome.
- Paste the following link into the address bar: chrome://extensions
- Turn off all other extensions.
- Go to app.grammarly.com and check whether the issue still occurs.
If the issue no longer occurs, it means one of your browser extensions was causing it. To find the one that may have been causing it, try turning on the other extensions one by one.

- Go back to chrome://extensions
- Turn on one of the extensions.
- Go to app.grammarly.com and check whether the issue still occurs.
- If the issue doesn’t reproduce, turn on another extension and check again.

If the previous instructions didn’t resolve the issue, it may be due to corruption of the indexed database. To fix it, follow these steps:
- Go to app.grammarly.com.
- Right-click on the center of the page and select Inspect.

In the console that opens, click on the >> icon and select the Application tab from the dropdown menu:
- In the left-side panel, select Storage.

Under Storage, uncheck all items except IndexedDB and click Clear site data above:
- Refresh the page.
