Learn how the Superhuman Docs mobile app will help you when you're on-the-go.
Coda is now Superhuman Docs. The app has a new name and look, but everything you've built stays exactly the same - no migration or setup needed. When you see a prompt to update the app on July 8th, go ahead and install the update. Once updated, you can sign in with your existing Coda credentials. No new account required.
The Superhuman Docs mobile experience lets you access the power of Docs on the go, making it easy to find what you need and take action. Access Superhuman Docs from your phone or iPad by navigating to docs.superhuman.com, downloading the Superhuman Docs iOS app, or visiting the Play Store on Android.
You can view and edit any doc on mobile, create and share new docs, receive and review notifications, and easily respond to comments. We'll walk you through just how to do that below.
Create and share a doc
To create a new doc on mobile, click the circular + icon in the lower right-hand corner of the app's homepage.
To share your doc with others, tap the 3 dots in the upper right, and select the Share option.
Open a doc
When you log into the mobile app, you'll see a list of all your docs as well as a search bar for easy access. Simply tap the doc you'd like to open.
View and add pages
When you open a doc or create a new one, you'll automatically be taken to the top page in the doc. To see all pages in the doc and create new pages, simply select the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner. To add a new page, click the blue + New page button.
View table data
For most tables, Superhuman Docs automatically chooses a mobile-optimized card layout based on the data in the table. In some cases, no card fits well and Docs will show the table.
Tap on any card to see all of the columns from that row in a full-screen view. And if you want to see the original table, just click the table icon in the top-right.
There are a few cases where you may still see a regular table instead of cards:
- If the display column is hidden, you won't see cards since there's not a clear column to choose as the title for the card.
- If your table has many numeric columns, you'll see it as a table with column headers so it's clear what each number represents.
Use buttons
If your table has buttons, these are available by swiping a card to the right.
Edit your doc
There are a few ways to edit your doc on mobile. Any text in a page can be edited with the same rich text toolbar you see on desktop.
For tables, you can add and remove rows with a simple swipe. Choose to insert a row and a blank one appears for entering values. Within any existing row, values can be changed for each cell that isn't populated by a formula.
Receive notifications
Superhuman Docs supports notifications on mobile. A notification will appear when a doc is shared with you, you are @mentioned in a doc, there is new activity in a comment thread you have contributed to, and when a custom button or automation sends a notification. Tapping into a notification will take you directly into the doc. You can also quickly access all your notifications by tapping the Notifications tab on the bottom right of the app home screen.
Make sure to accept notifications for the Superhuman Docs app on your mobile device to receive these.
Leave and view comments
Superhuman Docs is a collaborative experience when a doc is shared with other users. From the app homepage, you can quickly access and respond to comments across all of your docs by tapping the Notifications tab on the bottom right. Within a doc, you can show or hide comments by tapping the 3 dots (…) in the upper right.
When you see text that's highlighted yellow in your doc, tap it to show the comment thread. You can respond directly from there, and also edit or delete comments you have made. Tapping the icons in the upper right of the comment will enable you to react to, resolve, or activate any comment.
You can copy a link to any comment by selecting the three dots in the upper right of the comment. Paste it in an email, text message, or note to share with others who have access to the doc. You can also @ reference team members in your response to draw their attention.
