Why have the student, teacher, and nonprofit discounts been paused?
As of June 30th, 2026, we have paused any new applications for or redemptions of these discounts. Since Coda is now part of Superhuman, we are making updates to how plans and billing work. While we work through these changes, we've paused new discount applications.
Superhuman Docs offers a generous Free tier, with unlimited pages and objects for personal use, that is an ideal starting point for students. The Free tier also includes a generous trial of Docs AI and the Docs MCP, for those who prefer to connect Docs to their favorite AI tool.
Can I use my existing student, teacher, or nonprofit discount toward a Superhuman bundle?
Not at this time. If you already have one of these discounts applied to your Superhuman Docs account, it will continue to work toward your Docs subscription. However, these discounts cannot currently be applied toward a Superhuman bundle.

I received a free year of Pro. Why am I asked to add a card when upgrading?
We ask for all paid plans (even if discounted) to add a card on file in the event you add more doc makers or decide to upgrade to a plan not covered by the discount, and to ensure payment doesn't lapse if the discount is later removed.
I received a discount. Why am I getting an error when trying to upgrade?
Usually, this happens if you received a free year of Pro and are either trying to pay monthly, trying to pay for a different plan, or are trying to upgrade when you have more than one Doc Maker. Double-check that you have selected the Pro plan for one year, and do not have any other doc makers in your workspace. If you still need help, please reach out to support.
Note that these discounts cannot be applied towards a Superhuman bundle at this time.
If I upgrade from Pro to Team, will my education discount still apply?
Yes - since the education discount is valid for either the Pro or Team plan, you can upgrade to Team without worrying about losing that discount.
Can any of these discounts apply to an Enterprise plan?
No - these discounts are only eligible for those on Pro or Team plans (depending on the specific discount). You can learn more about the different Superhuman Docs pricing plans here.
When will I hear back after applying for a discount?
We aim to get through all applications as soon as we can, but it can take up to two weeks for us to review your application and respond.
I applied for a discount before June 30th, but I haven't heard back yet. What should I expect?
Any applications received prior to June 30th will still be processed. Assuming you meet the eligibility requirements, you can expect to still receive the discount.
