A full list of all the markdown shortcuts available to you in your Coda docs.


If you like using Markdown for fast on-the-go formatting, you're in luck. You can use any of the following Markdown shortcuts in the canvas of your doc.

📣 Coda now supports pasting of Markdown text into docs. You can copy your Markdown text, paste it into the page of your Coda doc, and watch as the text is automatically formatted. If you need to, you can still choose to paste the text as either plain text or as the original Markdown text. Learn more here.

 

Inline

  • Bold: **text** or __text__

  • Italic: *text* or _text_

  • Strikethrough: ~text~ 

  • Emoji: :emoji name:

  • Reference: @

     

Paragraph

  • Large header: # space

  • Medium header: ## space

  • Small header: ### space

  • Numbered list: 1. space

  • Bulleted list: * space

  • Checklist: [ ] space

  • Block quote: > space

  • Pull quote: " space

  • Code block: ```

 

📣 Tip: You can find the most up-to-date list of supported Markdown shortcuts by clicking on Insert in the upper right corner of your doc, typing Markdown into the search bar, and selecting Markdown (under Keyboard shortcuts).
