Desktop

In Superhuman Mail, hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Notifications and check or uncheck the box next to Email notifications.

FAQs

How do I change the sound for Superhuman Mail notifications?

There isn’t a way to customize the sound associated with Superhuman Mail notifications yet. For now, you can enable or disable sound for notifications in your device notification settings.

How do I customize my notifications to only come through for specific Splits on Desktop?

As of now, there isn’t a way to customize Desktop notifications in this way. If enabled, push notifications will come through for all emails, unless Important • Other is enabled. In that case, you’ll only receive emails that have been categorized as High Priority.

You can customize your push notifications on a per Split basis on Mobile though. Just pull down from the top of the inbox, then swipe right— like you're making an "L" — to open Superhuman Command, and type Notifications.

Why aren’t push notifications coming through?

In order to properly receive notifications, you’ll want to make sure they’re on both in the Superhuman Mail app and on your device. Please use the instructions above to make sure everything is set correctly.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that, if you have Important • Other, push notifications on Desktop will only come through for emails Superhuman Mail has identified as high priority. If an email isn’t identified as high priority, you won’t receive a push notification for it.

On Mobile, you can customize what emails you receive a push notification for. Please see the instructions above.

Why does the badge show a higher number than the unread emails in my inbox?

On Desktop and Android, the badge will show the count of total emails in your current Split, both read and unread. There isn’t currently a way to adjust this.

On iOS, you can adjust what the badge shows in your Badge Settings using the steps outlined above.
