With Superhuman search, it's easy to find what you need in seconds — whether it's a specific thread, a file, or a conversation from weeks ago!
Desktop
To start a search, hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Search. Type your query then hit Enter to search your inbox and folders for emails containing those words.
Mobile
When viewing your inbox, pull down from the top of the screen to search.
Once you've typed your search query, Superhuman will search your inbox and folders.
You can even search recent emails while offline — Superhuman caches your inbox locally so you're never blocked from finding what you need.
💡 Tip: Put quotes around what you're looking for to find an exact match!
Search Operators
Desktop
Use search operators to narrow down your search.
Common operators will appear in the righthand sidebar — the first five are the most used and can help you find what you need!
Mobile
Type the search operator in the search or tap on one of the options:
Combine Search Operators
By default, Superhuman combines each separate search query with an "AND" operator.
- Example: Searching for "cohort 126 satisfaction" will return emails that include both terms.
To find emails that match either term, include an "OR" operator between them.
- Example: Searching for “cohort 126 OR satisfaction” will return emails that include either terms.
💡 Tip: Use a hyphen (-) to exclude a certain term.
- Example: Adding a hyphen (-) at the start of the search excludes emails from the morningbrew.com domain.
