When you sign into a new account, activate Superhuman AI first by hitting Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Activate Superhuman AI.

We show three draft replies at the bottom of the latest message. You can hit Tab to cycle and preview each response.

To insert the reply, hit Enter (Reply All), R (Reply) or F (Forward), make any edits, then send it right off 🚀

Mobile

We show three draft replies at the bottom of the latest message. To insert the reply, simply tap the response you'd like to use.

After you tap your preferred response, a draft message will appear that you can edit. Once the message is ready to go, tap the send button. 

FAQs

I'm not seeing Instant Reply. 

There are a few types of emails that won't show Instant Reply: 

  • Calendar invites 
  • Any emails marked as Social or Promotion 
  • Emails from SendGrid 
  • Emails from financial institutions such as Chase, Bank of America, etc. 
  • Emails that never landed in your inbox (i.e. emails automatically marked Done or Auto Archived) 
  • Emails marked as Spam or Trash 
  • Emails from before Instant Reply was released (Feb 27, 2024)
  • Emails where you were the last reply
  • Any emails with a draft
  • Very long emails (the limit is approximately >20,000 words or 80 pages of text)

Will my emails be stored?

With Ask AI enabled, Mail stores your emails through a trusted SOC 2 compliant third-party vendor. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

We have a Zero Day Retention agreement, so your data will not be saved or retained by LLM providers. 

Will the queries I send and responses I receive back be stored?

We do not store the queries used for Write with AI, Instant Reply, and Auto Summarize.

We do not store responses for Write with AI. For Instant Reply and Auto Summarize, we store the responses for 90 days so that they are available for you if you open the email again.

The queries used and responses received for Ask AI are stored to help improve quality and allow for debugging. We do not store your calendar or your attachments other than their names.

We do not read responses or your email content unless you explicitly give us consent while submitting feedback.

Will anyone train on my data?

Neither Mail nor any vendor trains on your data.

Can I request to have my data deleted?
