Shared Drafts
Share drafts with teammates to collaborate more efficiently and perfect your messaging! ⚡
Desktop
To share a draft, hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) → Share draft or toggle on Share draft at the bottom of a message.
Select who you’d like to share the draft and conversation with.
Hit the Share button in the Share modal:
Or hit Cmd+S or Ctrl+S to copy the link share. Once the link has been copied, you can paste it directly in Slack or Microsoft Teams. Anyone with the link will be able to see drafts, all past messages, and add comments.
Teammates on the conversation can now see the entire thread and the draft as it updates in real-time! They can leave comments to collaborate on the draft.
When you share a draft with teammates, a “Shared Draft” label will appear in their threadlist. The draft will also appear in the timeline at the moment it was shared.
To unshare a draft, hit Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Unshare Draft or toggle off Share Draft at the bottom of the message.
Mobile
You can view a shared draft on mobile once it’s been enabled on your desktop.
FAQ’s
Can anyone on a shared conversation make edits to the shared draft?
Only the original draft author can make edits to the draft at the moment.
Can I share just the draft?
Sharing a reply draft in a thread shares the entire thread like regular sharing (Cmd+K or Ctrl+K → Share Conversation). You can share a standalone draft, however if they’re unshared, that draft and its comments are no longer accessible to shared participants.
What notifications will participants receive when a draft is shared with them?
When a draft is first shared, teammates on a conversation will receive a push notification and a thread bump.
